UNICEF, SAP India to provide career counselling to improve youth employability skills

To provide career counselling to the youth of the nation UNICEF  India announced its partnership with SAP India. It is done for improvement in their employability skills in an era of COVID -19.

An initiative to provide occupational skillset and digital education to the reserved youth of the nation will be taken through the collaboration of UNICEF with YuWaah (Generation Unlimited) makes the day worth more. This collaboration has an aspiring aim to throw the light of the impact on 1 million people by the end of the year 2022. This collaboration will be solely focussing on the improvement of life skills as we as digital skills the young aspiring minds. 

As indicated by discharge by UNICEF India, youngsters living in provincial regions are especially helpless with regards to vocation and employability openings because of restricted access to data, preparing, openings, or the aptitudes to take part completely in India’s modernizing innovation-driven economy. The national total on the student PC proportion is accounted for to be 1:89, recommending biased access in country schools. It further proposes that innovation arrangements can be enhanced better to address helpless learning levels, low consistency standards, helpless fundamental abilities, and sexual orientation consideration.

On this initiative, Dr. Yasmin Ali Haque, UNICEF Representative in India shares, “COVID-19 has led to disruptions in educational, economic and social spheres of life, that has thrown up many challenges for young people. The UNICEF – YuWaah – SAP India partnership will empower young people to help them harness their creativity, problem-solving, and leadership to make a difference in their lives and in their communities. This partnership will address urgent challenges young people face by equipping them with life skills, social innovation, and career guidance.”
